AEAS考试阅读题干和思维方式

　　在第一次AEAS考试的时候，我是完全按照文章的顺序一篇一篇做下来，结果因为紧张，读了很长时间的小说，一直没有看懂在讲什么，后面就越来越紧张，之后做历史长篇的时候时间就不够了。建议大家尽量不要把小说放在第一个做，紧张的状态下会读不进去，历史也不建议放在第一个，因为历史也需要冷静的心态。我个人的做题次序：社科/自然科学—>历史—>小说。大家可以把自己擅长的放在第一个做。

　　一定要先读题干

　　如果题目中有说Implicitly,Infer, Imply,Based on the passage(一下简称infer类题或推断题)，这个时候它就告诉你答案不能由原文直接同义改写得到。

　　如果题目中出现Explicitly,Indicate,Identify,Suggest,According to the passage, Best characterize /describe / xxx(以下简称indicate类题)，这个时候就证明答案可以由原文直接同义改写得到，原文和答案有一个很高的契合度。

　　这个技巧看似简单，但想要真正用好很困难，只有在经过大量真题的训练后才能把这个技巧掌握。毫不夸张的说，这个技巧帮助我解决了70%的题，并节省下了至少10分钟的做题时间。

　　使用这个技巧的要点是在看到不同的题干的问法时要转换不同的思维方式。在看到infer类的推断题时，就要快速进入推断的思维方式，这意味着正确选项的答案与原文不可能轻易有同意改写对应得到，而必须进行一部分的合理推断。在看到suggest，indicate类题是，要进入找对应的无脑思维，这意味的原文和正确选项之间对应程度很高。

　　思维方式的转换

　　(1)在推断题中如果发现题中的选项和原文高度对应，这时候反而一定要高度警惕因为对应并非infer题的特点，大部分这样的选项都是错误的。对于不了解infer题思维方式的同学就是一个大坑，而且很多同学在对完答案时还是一脸懵逼：明明对应的很好啊，为什么不对?事实是，它错就错在对应太好了，而不符合infer题的要求(你想啊，既然是infer就不可能让你从原文中直接对应出答案啊)。

　　(2)在indicate的题时可以避免想多，因为indicate类题本身就是很简单的找对应，而不是让你加入自己的推测的，只要忠实于原文就好。

　　(3)合理分配时间。个人来说，在看到indicate类题时，我立马会意识到这是一道简单对应题，不会多想，30秒内搞定;而看到infer类题我会明白这是一道难度系数较高的题，会多花时间在上面避免入坑。而事实证明这样的方法是很有效的。

　　给大家举一些例子(其实70%的题都是这两种题型，在真题中可以自行体会)

　　推断题

　　1.问题：What can be inferred about the reason Usherwood used northern bald ibises as the subjects of his study?

　　原文：The study, published in Nature, took advantage of an existing project to reintroduce endangered northern bald ibises to Europe.

　　答案：The ibises were easily accessible for Usherwood and his team to track and observe.

　　2.问题：Based on the passage, which choice best describes the relationship between salt behavior in the nanoworld and in the macroworld?

　　原文：Huge underground deposits of salt can bend like plastic, but water is believed to play a role at these scales.

　　答案：In both the nanoworld and the macroworld, salt can be flexible.

　　3.问题：Based on the passage, a significant advantage of theVenus flytrap’s requirement for multiple triggers is that it

　　原文：Closing its trap requires a huge expense of energy, and reopening the trap can take several hours, so Dionaeaonly wants to spring closed when it’s sure that the dawdling insect visiting its surface is large enough to be worth its time.

　　答案：safe guards the plant’s energy supply.

　　以上几个例子中不难看出，推断题的正确选项与原文之间对应关系很少。

　　Indicate题

　　1.问题：The narrator indicates that many previous explorers seeking the North Pole have

　　原文：Nobody has succeeded in this thing, and many have died.

　　答案： perished in the attempt.

　　2.问题：According to the passage, which choice best describes the current financial situation in many major American cities?

　　原文：America’s major cities face enormous fiscal problems, many ofthem the result of public pension obligations they incurred in the more prosperous years of the past two decades.

　　答案：Economic hardship due to promises made in past years

　　3.问题：According to the passage, which of the following istrue of antithrombin?

　　原文：[antithrombin] acts as a molecular bouncer, sidling up toclot-forming compounds and escorting them out of the bloodstream.

　　答案：It reduces compounds that lead to blood clots.

　　4.问题：characterizes Katz’s attitude toward “today’s digital technologies” (lines 75)?

　　原文：“If technology disrupts enough, who knows what will happen?” [Katz’s words]

　　答案：He is uncertain about their effect on the economy

　　从以上例子看出，indicate类题正确选项与原文高度对应。

　　建议大家亲身实践一下这个规律，进行不同的思维方式的训练，对问题、实践、难易程度的把握会有一个不小的提升。

　　我学习语法的时候是先啃完一本高中语法书，建立一个比较完整的语法体系，高中语法甚至比AEAS语法更难。

　　它里面一些单词的解释更加全面，例句也更丰富。而且我认为这个网站简直是为AEAS量身定做的一个网站，最后有一个模块choose your words是专门把所有的形近词但意思截然不同的词进行具体讲解，AEAS语法题会考到类似的一些词。

　　AEAS语法考试的技巧，例如下面这种加删句子型题，选项中有contradict, undermine, diminish, inconsistent with 是一定不选，所以果断排除C选项。
